Bonfiglioli recently showcased its latest advancements in the e-Mobility sector, targeting, among others, construction and agricultural machinery at the iVT Expo 2025 in Cologne. These advancements underline Bonfiglioli’s strategic commitment to sustainability and innovation and its “full-line role” as provider of electrified motors and final drives.  With almost 50 years of engineering expertise in electrified drives, Bonfiglioli supports its customers throughout the transition to electrification. Whether in low-voltage applications (48-96 volts) for compact machines or high-voltage solutions (400-700 volts) for heavier-duty systems, Bonfiglioli offers tailor-made, high-performance products designed to reduce Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and maximize energy savings. Bonfiglioli's electrification roadmap spans various sectors (construction, off-highway and agriculture), where many projects and R&D activities are ongoing and the demand for electrified solutions is on the rise. For construction equipment, Bonfiglioli displayed its cutting-edge solutions developed for machines ranging from 2.5 to 5 tons - mini excavators – and from 5 to 30 tons – midi excavators. In both cases, the electrification of auxiliary functions encompasses the swing drive and the motor for pump drive, enabling a new standard in energy-efficient, low-noise, and low-maintenance machinery. Displayed at iVT Expo was a solution for midi excavator, combining an electric swing drive of the 700TE Series, ultra-compact and high performing, equipped with an electromagnetic brake and speed and temperature sensor and an electric motor for pump drive of the BPM Series, featuring permanent magnets with SAE connections. The system is completed by two inverters responsible for motor control.  Bonfiglioli offers high-performance solutions also for compact track loader solutions. For these machines - ranging from 1.5 to 6 tons – Bonfiglioli supplies the planetary track drive paired with high-power density electric motors, specifically designed for electric systems. The 5-6 ton compact track loader version also integrates, as optional feature, the IoT functionality through the sensorization of the gearmotor, allowing the user to view all the main operational data of the machine and use it correctly. Bonfiglioli's electrified solution represents a cutting-edge product available as standard on machines from leading manufacturers, already integrated by top OEMs.  For road construction equipment, Bonfiglioli is leading the change in electrifying key functions of soil compactors and tandem rollers, including the drum drive, steering system and vibration functions, for which Bonfiglioli is developing electric motors with dedicated characteristics.
