Twin synchronized spindles enable true simultaneous machining, dramatically reducing cycle time while maintaining dimensional accuracy. At the core of the MSC 5 DUO is a split-bed design that physically isolates the two work-zones – minimizing vibration transfer and maintaining accuracy across both spindles. This mechanical decoupling ensures long-term precision in demanding environments. With speeds up to 4,500rpm and up to 11kW of power (optional), the MSC 5 DUO is equipped to handle a wide range of materials and part geometries. A broad torque band delivers consistent cutting performance across the speed range, while the A2-5 spindle nose supports chuck diameters up to 210mm. The machine features a BMT turret with 8 or optional 12 positions, offering superior rigidity and tool stability versus traditional VDI systems. High indexing accuracy and fast tool changes are enabled by servo-driven positioning and hydraulic clamping.
